Get on the waitlist by telling us about your family and what you hope to find at Skip School. As new pod opportunities take shape, we’ll review interest forms with location, timing, ages, and the needs of the group in mind. When an opportunity looks promising, we’ll reach out to start a conversation.

Because pod opportunities depend on location, timing, availability, and group composition, we may not be able to contact every family. Submission does not guarantee a conversation, pod placement, enrollment, or a response within a particular timeframe.

To join Skip School, your family must have at least one child who is 4 to 7 years old. Younger siblings are welcome to attend the same pod through our Tinker Tots program, which allows them to participate in an age-appropriate way.

Want a pod near you? Help bring one to life!

A waitlist doesn’t create a pod. A local pod leader does. Families can participate only where there is an approved pod leader and room in that pod. If the community you want for your child doesn’t exist yet, you may be the person who helps create it!

  • ✓We make the program ready to lead. Skip School provides the curriculum, ready-to-run missions, materials guidance, training, and ongoing support.
  • ✓You bring the leadership. Pod leaders gather families, lead Activity Days, communicate with parents, and help protect a safe, connected group culture.
  • ✓It can fit your community. Leaders do not have to run all three weekly Activity Days, and pods can meet in parks and other community spaces—you do not have to host at home.
  • ✓Your family participates at no cost. Approved pod leaders receive complimentary family membership while actively leading a pod.

This is meaningful volunteer leadership. The commitment will vary by pod, but it requires initiative, reliability, and a genuine desire to build something worthwhile for your child and other local families. In return, you help create an extraordinary education, a deeply connected community, and the kind of friendships and shared memories that can shape your family’s life for years to come.
