Character and Performance
Create a character and act out a problem for the group to guess.
A handmade bunny costume from the character mission.
Children chose secret animals and worked with their parents on masks, headbands, wings, ears, horns, and costumes. The challenge asked them to move beyond making into performing.
Some needed encouragement before stepping in front of the group; others were eager to begin. Acting out the characters and their problems gave the children practice expressing ideas, watching one another, and using their voices.
