The Critter Allies

After sharing updates about the caterpillars they were tending at home, children heard Hootenanny’s challenge: create an entirely original critter. They gathered clay, wool, feathers, pipe cleaners, straws, and other materials.

Their ideas changed as they worked with what was available. Each critter took on different features through those decisions, turning earlier experiences of animals and habitats into a creative design challenge.
