The Cricket Bungalow
Build a living habitat and begin caring for its tiny residents.
A completed cricket habitat.
After learning about crickets, children built a bioactive Cricket Bungalow with small organisms to help keep it clean. They worked with soil, isopods, springtails, worms, and the structure of the habitat.
The build required precision and steady adult support. Once the homes were ready, the crickets moved in and families took on the continuing work of care. The mission connected design choices with the needs of living things.
