The Fairy Story Workshop
Make characters and settings, then give them a story.
A fairy story setting and its handmade characters.
Hootenanny’s story introduced a dragon who needed help learning how stories could change. The children responded by building fairies, families of characters, and places for their stories to happen.
They worked with a range of craft materials and enlisted help with difficult construction. Making the characters and settings gave their imaginations something tangible to work with as their own stories developed.
